Referrals from psychologists, social workers and counselors.
The information provided in my report is helpful in a therapeutic environment. It is completely non judgmental. It simply identifies what is, and is neither good nor bad.
Hand Analysis adds key pieces to a patient’s puzzle that may be hidden or not obvious in session. It provides a starting point, or in many cases, confirmation of what you as a therapist intuitively know about your client. Lastly, it takes the external emotional patterns and cuts to the core issues of why this person is here in this lifetime. Knowing that gives tremendous insight on where to concentrate efforts immediately.

Background and Clinical Use
In developing this system, Richard Unger trained over 100 therapists with varying backgrounds to test his theories. It met with such success that he then founded the International Institute of Hand Analysis (IIHA). In addition, over half of the 52,000 pairs of hands he read were of patients sent to him as referrals from mental health professionals.
Unger’s system is based not only on his personal readings but extensive research compiled by medical professionals. He took thousands of articles linking fingerprints and diseases such as lupus, hyperactivity, cancer and heart disease. It was here he began to bring together the study of fingerprints, called Dermatoglyphics (dermato = skin, glyphics = carvings) with his previous research.
Coined in 1926 by Dr. Harold Cummins, MD, dermatoglyphics is the scientific study of fingerprints and related line and hand shapes. Studying the hands of developing embryos, Dr. Cummins discovered at the fourteenth week, fingerprints begin to appear, forming a topographic life map on the hand, a map that remains unaltered throughout a lifetime.
Unger’s previous work had involved looking only at those things on the hand that changed (lines, finger shapes, patterns, formation). He realized this explained the contradictions that appeared similar. He now had the scientific system to overlay the ancient wisdom system. Dermatoglyphics and palmistry both derive from comparative hand topography. Both seek the inner condition based on outer signs but there the similarity ends. One employs scientific research, the other thousands of years of folklore and anecdotal experience. Unger merged the scientific evidence with the mythic interpretation of hand analysis. The result is an amazingly precise and meaningful tool to examine one’s life and core psychology.
Validated by over 52,000 interviews and readings with people about their life purpose, Unger then taught the system to over 100 therapists, counselors and psychiatrists, who replicated his results. His most recent book, endorsed by Frank R. Wilson, former Clinical Professor of Neurology, Stanford University School of Medicine, is called LifePrints.
Life Purpose Hand Analysis
Typically, I meet a client to take a print of both hands, including fingerprints. I provide an initial reading of their life purpose and lesson, which lasts about one hour. Then with the ink prints I’ve taken, I analyze the hands, lines, prints and gift markers to further determine all life purposes, life lessons and the essence of their life. I also look at those areas of the hands that change, giving insight into their current personality (or equipment) to live their life. I look for gift markers, which can indicate an emerging or present shift in their life which will further assist in life purpose fulfillment or life lesson mastery. I provide a minimum three-page report detailing the findings, usually within one week.
In working with referrals from therapists, it is possible to have the therapist take the prints and send them to me for analysis. I meet with the therapist to provide the equipment and demonstrate the technique. Or, if you prefer, I can meet with your client at my office or yours.
